This Victorian-style building occupies a prominent spot in Burton, perched on the wee bluff that looks towards the mouth of Quartermaster Harbor. It is now a private residence owned by the Denning family, but once was a hotel that mostly served traveling salesmen and teachers in Burton's heyday. I imagine painting this building again, with a storm coming in from the southwest, to capture a "Bates Hotel" feeling.
