Monet had water lilies and Haystacks, and I have Engel's. I've painted and drawn it multiple times and intended to have a couple more in this show, but all the other iconic Vashon spots begged to be attended to. Lou and Paul Engel have always been so kind. There is something incredibly endearing about a family business in this era. They had a big article in the Seattle Times in 2015, and I believe their shop has been featured as a location in a movie or two.
