Notable Collection Online

VCA’s Notable Collection launches with seven (7) Vashon artists in a new initiative in which VCA represents their art pieces for six months or more. The launch will take place with the Collection hanging in the Gallery for the month of January 2021, and then be listed on VCA’s new virtual Gallery in the following months.

The inspiration behind The Notables is a desire to broaden the audience for artists and continue to build relationships with art enthusiasts and collectors.

The structure of the Collection is modeled along the lines of a typical commercial gallery that represents art pieces by particular artists within their retail space over a period of time. Currently VCA represents art one month at a time – changing out exhibition monthly. VCA will continue to do our monthly exhibitions. The Notable Collection is an additional way to show and sell art.

The Notable Collection will be VCA first monthly exhibition in 2021, January. We will continued to represent the art through VCA’s new virtual Gallery which is launching in January. The Collection exhibition in January allows visitors to see the collection in person before it is moves to its exclusive listing online.

Artists participating in the Collection are Vashon artists: Victoria Adams, Morgan Brig, Brian Fisher, Britt Freda, Pam Ingalls, Kristen Reitz-Green, and Erin Shulz.  All these Vashon artists have a thriving art following, are well known within our Vashon community, and have successfully shown at VCA. VCA and the artists will be collaborating to promote and sell their work to a wider audience through social media and other press outlets. This provides an expansion in recognition for both the artists and VCA.

All these artists are well known within our Vashon arts community. Victoria Adams does exquisite oil landscapes. Morgan Brig’s whimsical mixed media art makes you smile or ponder or both. Brian Fisher’s art is inspired by mythology as he continues to create new ways in printmaking. You may known Britt Freda from her work as the Heron Meadow mural artist and her paintings that brings awareness to endangered species. Pam Ingalls’ still life oils with her signature hand made frames, are rich with color. Kristen Reitz – Green’s large paintings play with light and reflection. The intimate detail of Erin Shulz’s realism are brought to life with delicate brush strokes and expressive faces.

The Notable Collection opens January 8th in gallery and closes January 31st  and VCA’s virtual gallery will be launched by end of January 2021.
