VCA and VIVA is delighted to announce "VIVA at the VCA Gallery Shop," a new collaborative venture between Vashon Island Visual Artists and Vashon Center for the Arts. The Gallery Shop, will regularly exhibit work by VIVA members, flexing its' schedule around existing VCA Gallery events. The Shop, curated by longtime Vashon artist Margaret Smith, launches May 7 and have new items rotate in through the summer.  

Brian Fisher, President of VIVA says, ““I have always liked this little gallery space and it’s wonderful for VIVA artists to have an ongoing presence to show and sell their art at VCA!”

“It is great to have an ongoing presence of VIVA artists at VCA. With such a strong collective of talented artists on the island there is no shortage of quality art. We are pleased to be able to provide a space for selling Vashon art in addition to our monthly shows and online gallery,” adds Lynann Politte, VCA Gallery Director.

Artists featured in May are: Steven Caldwell, Alex Echevarria, Jean Echevarria, Laurie Geissinger, Terry Donnelly, Carolyn Candy, Rose Belknap, Deborah Taylor, Richard Lipke, Margaret Smith, Patricia Wronsky, Marla Smith, and Mary L. Robinson.

The Shop opens First Friday, May 7^th at 12noon, with extended hours 12noon to 7:30pm. The Gallery Shop is open during VCA regular hours Thurs – Sun: 12-4pm and during Kay White Hall in-person performances.
