Graduated from the School of Fine Arts. He traveled to Seattle, WA for a printmaking residency and attended the Sev-Shoon Workshop in the winter of 2004. Upon his return to Oaxaca in 2005, he began his teaching career at the School of Fine Arts in Oaxaca, where he has been teaching drawing and printmaking. He has participated in various printmaking competitions, obtaining: the Shinzaburo Takeda Award, selected for the Jesús Núñez Award in Coruña, Spain, and selected for the Do Douro Biennial in Portugal. He has exhibited his graphic work in the United States, France, Spain, Germany and Mexico. He is currently the director of the Rufino Tamayo Plastic Arts Workshop.
