It was one of those amazing light displays when I came upon Tramp Harbor after a long commute. In the distance is Point Heyer â better known to Islanders as KVI Beach. KVI Radio purchased the sand spit and built a tower on it in 1936. For that reason, one of the last salt marches in Puget Sound is preserved. And one of the best beaches as well.
