VCA’s 16th Annual Miniature Show

For its 16th consecutive year, Vashon Center for the Arts presents our annual Miniature Show.

What is both unique for the art enthusiast and challenging for the participating artists is the size limitation for the art. All 2-D art must be no larger than 36” square inches (including frame) and with three-dimensional work limited in size similarly.

80 artists are showing this year in the Miniature show.  Artists from Vashon, Seattle, Olympia, Port Townsend, Maple Falls, Mercer Island, Renton, Tacoma, Twisp, Gig Harbor, Shoreline,  and a pieces coming from Edina, Minnesota and Salt Lake City, UT. Gallery visitors will be pleased to see beloved artists who show their work each year and also be introduced to new participating artists. The collection is as varied as the artists showing. 

All art is  hand-crafted original pieces which are perfect for a holiday gift or that special nook in your home. Art is available to take home once you purchase it (after opening weekend), just in time for your holiday giving.

This year's show is dedicated to artist Carol Schwennesen, a founding member of the Minature Show, who worked with former VCA gallery curator, Janice Mallman, for 10 years of the shows run. We thank Carol for all her volunteer work on this show that has become a VCA tradition, showing hundreds of artists work over the, now, 16 years.
